The PATH to a stronger San Jose

With 25 locations throughout California providing services in more than 140 cities, and more than 1,000 units of permanent supportive housing completed or in the pipeline, People Assisting the Homeless (PATH) is dedicated to helping individuals, families, and communities end their homelessness. They do this by assisting people with finding permanent housing and providing case management, medical and mental healthcare, benefits advocacy, employment training, and other services to help them maintain their homes with long-term stability.

In 2016, PATH opened an office in San Jose focusing on providing an integrated service and residential effort designed to address street homelessness specifically in downtown San Jose, and to help local homeless individuals rebuild their lives and move into permanent apartments. Currently, PATH San Jose provides outreach to those who are experiencing homelessness, connecting them to services and linking them to housing in the San Jose area. PATH envisions a world where every person has a home.

Committed to continued community engagement, PATH recently became community partners with Urban Catalyst Opportunity Fund and named Urban Catalyst partner Joshua Burroughs to their Advisory Board. This is an ideal partnership, as the Urban Catalyst impact is aimed at creating a quality of life ecosystem through a specific portfolio of projects that focus on people and providing a higher quality of life. The Urban Catalyst team envisions a completely changed downtown in the future. We believe this change will occur from having effective proactive solutions that help get the homeless the resources they need to get back on their feet.
