OZP-Erik-Hayden-2

Jimmy Atkinson, the brains behind OpportunityDb, tracked down Urban Catalyst Founder Erik Hayden at ADISA’s Spring Conference to discuss who the “typical” Opportunity Zone investor is.  Their podcast also covers the role broker dealers (BD), registered investment advisers (RIA) and wealth advisers play in Opportunity Zone investing.

Atkinson has produced about 150 podcasts focusing on Opportunity Zone investing. This latest podcast (and a second one with Erik Hayden) touches on everything from securities regulations to the status of projects underway at Urban Catalyst. Topics include:

  • How QOFs raise money — through the BD/RIA channel vs. directly from investors (1:40)
  • The benefits of using Opportunity Zones to diversify a portfolio (5:36)
  • Stories from some of Urban Catalyst’s early investors (8:26)
  • The status of Urban Catalyst’s projects (11:23)
  • The case for investing in downtown San Jose real estate (12:14)

..and more!
